A great improvement over rigid exoskeletons, Measurand ShapeWrap II offers a mocap system based on ShapeTapes that flex instead of breaking on impact. By conforming to limbs instead of following rigid paths, ShapeWrap II moves with the body to capture fine details of shape on a wide variety of body types. ShapeWrap II is field portable, wireless and durable. Individual tapes from ShapeWrap II may be used as multi-variable 6DOF input devices for creative animation.

Field Rated Motion Capture
ShapeWrap II is the Field Rated, go anywhere motion capture system. It's a durable and flexible system that's extremely portable and easy to use -- going anywhere to capture full body motion.

Full body motion capture including extremities
ShapeWrap II simultaneously captures full body motion with hand and finger data along with ankle, foot and toe data. It is flexible enough to discern finger and toe orientations separate from those of the hands and feet, and it detects motion of all other joints, the back, and the head. The wearable sensing

tapes completely follow arms and legs to the tips of fingers and toes, capturing 6 degrees of freedom data for their entire length.

Modular System
The system is made of multiple ShapeTapes. 4 ShapeTapes make up the ShapeWrap II system (full body system for capturing motion). The system consists of 2 arm tapes (one tape for each arm that extend to capture hand, wrist and finger movements), and 2 leg tapes (one for each leg that attaches and adjusts at the waist to capture the full leg movements extending to capture foot, ankle and toe movements.

Long-range and large area capture
ShapeWrap II comes with a wireless Ethernet modem, giving you the latest advances in wireless communications. Your wireless modem distance capability ranges from 25 to 50 meters indoors to over 100 meters outdoors. ShapeWrap II wirelessly connects to your desktop or laptop computer giving you the power to capture data anywhere.
